PS Vita - Whats in the Box?
When purchasing your PS Vita it's a good idea to think about if you want any games, accessories or memory cards as the Vita straight out of the box comes with the minimal amount of gear. You get the PS Vita of course, a USB cable, a Power Adapter, Instructions and a set of augmented reality Cards. So you will need to purchase a memory card if you are looking to save games, movies, music and other media.
Many retailers offer these as a PS Vita bundle and they often come with a game also, the initial purchase might be a little more expensive, but it saves you good money if you were to buy the items individually! There are plenty of PS Vita deals with 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and even 32GB memory cards.
Wifi and 3G
There are two versions of the PS Vita currently available, a cheaper Wi-fi only and a Wi-fi with 3G model. The PS Vita introduces social networking and social gaming to the handheld genre and Sony believe the PS vita is "a place where you can locate, connect, discover and play with your friends and new people where ever they are.” The Wi-fi will be able to join up to Wi-fi hot spots all around the world and your home Wi-fi of course, for multiplayer games or browsing the web. The 3G version allows you to browse the internet, check twitter, facebook and other social networks where ever you are, providing you are on a data subscription.
